DOLE Gensan Conducts Continuing Labor Education Seminars

The Department of Trade and Industry has invited DOLE Gensan to join the series of seminars/orientations to be conducted to establishments, individuals and other stakeholders of the SMED Council’s Negosyo Center.

In a series of seminars conducted by the DOLE to different agencies and individuals, about a hundred agencies were able to participate in the Continuing Labor Education Seminars to include topics on Productivity 101, 5S, and General Labor Standards on the six available schedules of DTI.

In the six schedules for September, different agencies from sole proprietorship, micro, small to medium enterprises to large companies were represented by the owners, managers and/or Human Resource Managers.

The convergence of DTI and DOLE to conduct such seminars bring about strength in the delivery of programs of the two national line agencies that both provide for facilitation of employment, livelihood and promote inclusive growth through the development and empowerment of SMEs.

Among the services offered by the Negosyo Center in Gensan includes registration of businesses, and consultancy on where to access project funds just like DOLE’s DILEEP.

Ms. Fatima QL Bataga, Head of Gensan Field Office discussed Productivity and 5S, while Ms. Alma P. Borela and Ms. Sheila Marie D. Dumalay discussed General Labor Standards modules on the said seminars.
